Our special guests from Austin arrived last week just in time for tick season! I hadn’t realized the ticks were even out yet until their children and ours managed to find them all on the forested slopes on the other side of the creek.

The guineas don’t venture to the other side of the creek much, so it looks like it’s time to make it happen. Thankfully (or not), the guineas follow me around much of the time, so getting them to cross the creek ┬áto clear the area shouldn’t be too difficult. Hopefully it just takes a little bit of time and intentionality.

We shall see.
